Day1: Arrive to Tehran. Transfer to hotel.
Day2: We will explore Iran’s capital city. Tehran has grown tremendously since it was reinstituted as the national capital and is now home to some 12 million residents. We will begin our exploration at Golestan Palace, the city’s oldest historical monument and one of the most lavish. The palace was built around a garden. Its richly ornamented interiors feature artistic styles emblematic of the Qajar dynasty — also incorporating technological advances of the 18th century — that have continued to inspire Iranian art and architecture. The palace is adjacent to the Grand Bazaar, where we will take a stroll. After lunch we will explore the National Museum of Iran that preserves the country’s historical and cultural record through the presentation of some 300,000 artifacts — the oldest dating back more than 30,000 years. On the way back to hotel, we will visit the Treasury of National Jewels, housed in the Central Bank. This collection is one of the three biggest treasure of gold and diamond in the world.
Day3: leave Tehran toward Hamedan. En route stop at Qazvin and visit Amini’s house which was belong to a great merchant who dedicate his house to religious ceremonies. The house is one of the symbols of Qazvin and known as a great architecture of Islamic art. Then we will stop at Chehel Sotoun which belong to governor of Qazvin and now turn to anthropology museum. Continue toward Hamedan and overnight there in hotel. (Total driving distance: 390 km)
Day4: Visit Hamedan city include Avicenna mausoleum who was a Persian polymath who is regarded as one of the most significant thinkers and writers of the Islamic Golden Age, then we proceed to Ganj Nameh which is an ancient inscription, 5 km south-west of city, on the side of Alvand Mountain. The inscriptions were carved in granite in two sections. The one on the left was ordered by Darius the Great (521-485 BC) and the one on the right by Xerxes the Great (485- 65 BC). The inscriptions start with praise of the Zoroastrian God (Ahura Mazda) and describe the lineage and deeds of the mentioned kings. Next we will stop of stone lion which is the symbol of city. Continue city tour by visiting Hegmatane one the UNESCO registered sites. Hegmataneh is universally well known because Median Dynasty was established over there. We will return to hotel for overnight.
Day5: depart from Hamedan toward Sanandaj. En route stop at Alisard Cave the longest water cave of the world. Check in hotel and have free time. (Total driving distance: 228 km)
Day6: Early in the morning we leave hotel and take the road to remote areas of Kordestan. We will visit most amazing village of Kordestan. Leave the village then and start hiking for about one hour easy hiking in uneven path. Have lunch and continue hiking for two more hours. Visit the mausoleum of one of the important Sufis master and continue with 4×4 vehicles to the village which we will overnight.
Day7: In the morning after a fresh breakfast we will stroll in village with people who are eager to talk with you. Don’t miss the chance of making photo with them after permission of course. We will leave the village then and start driving in dirt road to a fruitful country where you can taste some fruit while you hike and enjoy fresh products of the region. Kurdish dance and music is waiting for us at the campsite. Dance how much you can while dinner is preparing by our team. Overnight will be in tent.
Day8: Leave the campsite in the morning toward the biggest village of Kordestan province by 4WD cars. Visit the village and hike for one hour and then use vehicles and continue safari in pure and breathtaking nature in western Zagros. Have lunch in orchard of village and then continue safari for 2 hour and hike in 2500 height of village that we will stay the night.
Day9: After breakfast we start an easy hiking among the fascinating landscape of mountain for two hour and have lunch at the Oak jungles. Continue a mixture of safari and hiking through the beautiful valleys and arrive to equipped campsite where our team waiting for you with fresh foods and endless playing music. We stay in camp for the night.
Day10: After breakfast start hiking for two hour toward historic and scenery villages. Our lunch will be at the slope of 3500m Shahoo peak. After lunch we will continue our hiking with support of 4WD cars for one more hour and visit the biggest spring of the mountain. Arrive and welcome by locals to village and dine in house. Overnight in local house.
Day11: We will leave the village after breakfast. Start hiking for 1.5 hours. Continue with 4WD cars through oak jungle. Stroll in famous village of Palangan and visit waterfalls and orchard of village. After lunch drive to historic inscription. One hour hike in the valley and have a break in recreational area. And then drive with normal vehicles toward Kermanshah, Overnight in hotel.
Day12: Half a day sightseeing of Kermanshah including Tagh-e Bostan which a site with a series of large rock reliefs from the era of Sassanid Empire of Persia, the Iranian dynasty which ruled western Asia from 226 to 650 AD. This example of Sassanid art is located 5 km from the city center of Kermanshah. Continue sightseeing and visit a fairly unique house with fascinating array of tiles telling interesting stories and styled in the 19th century. Then we continue the tour and arrive to Doroud. We Stay in local house overnight. (Total driving distance: 300 km)
Day13: Check out of hotel after breakfast and take the road toward Isfahan. We continue our exploration and arrive to Isfahan. At night walk on the beautiful and famous bridges of Isfahan. Overnight in hotel. (Total driving distance: 281 km)
Day14: We visit At the center of the city Naqsh-e Jahan, one of the world’s biggest squares, created in the 17th century. The huge, open plaza is framed by a wall of arches and surrounded by the Masjed-e Sheikh Lotfollah and the Masjed-e Emam mosques. We will also walk through the Ali Qapu Palace with its enchanting music room and balcony overlooking the Maidan where the Safavid kings sat to watch polo tournaments. After lunch we will visit the Bazaar. In addition to the stalls of textile and carpet merchants, makers of jewelry and handicrafts, vendors of spices, and much more — some of which have been there for centuries — there are several prominent mosques. We will also visit also Chehel Sotun, a pavilion constructed as a reception hall for visiting dignitaries by Shah Abbas II, and Hasht Behesht, an octagonal pleasure palace built a few years later. Return to hotel and overnight.
Day15: Early morning hotel check out and come back to Tehran.
If your airline is Turkish you can fly with from Isfahan otherwise you need to drive back to Tehran.
